Bath Business Improvement District celebrates Bath Festivals

Louise Prynne, Chief executive of Bath Business Improvement District (BID) is on film enthusing about the Bath festival, which the Bath BID is supporting.

The videos are available to view or download below.

In one of the films Louise Prynne explains how Jolly’s got onboard with the festival by hosting live music in-store. “The Bath festival was live in Jolly’s this weekend,” she explains. “Two singer-songwriters with real international appeal; one from the UK and one from Norway. The shop was alive with the sound of the music and shoppers got a taste of the atmosphere and the other things they could explore in the city.

In another video Louise listens to Julet Kelly, jazz singer and songwriter who performed in Marks & Spencer. Juliet is also interviewed.

Louise Prynne continues, “One of the things that appeals to me about bringing live music into the stores is that, as you walk through the door you can sense a difference between recorded music and live music, and as I approached the escalator it drew me upstairs. I don’t need an excuse to shop, but it was even better to go and have a look at what was happening.”
